Dear supporter,

In 2005, Steamer Co. No. 5, Virginia's oldest standing fire and police station, was saved and transformed into a hub for Richmond's extraordinary arts community.
Due to the work of dozens of volunteers throughout the years and the support of our neighbors, Gallery5 continues to transfuse a new lifeblood into an aging National Historic Landmark through multiple forms of visual and performing arts and accessible community activities.

Gallery5 has found enormous success in creating this all-inclusive space for artists to communicate their ideas and interact with a large supportive cultural community thirsty for new experiences. Gallery5 has enabled many young talented Richmond artists to move on to new opportunities. Many of these talents would remain untapped and unappreciated without Gallery5 acting as a catalyst to connect them with their neighbors.

Gallery5 and the multitude of artists we serve would not be where they are today without a supportive community filled with people like you. You are the ones thirsty for new art, new music, and new creative experiences. Gallery5 continues to exist because of the love you have shown us and the desire for us to continue the projects that we share. For that, we thank you. As long as our community needs us, we will continue to offer as many engaging artistic experiences and cultural activities as we can. Unfortunately, the revenue generated from these events do not cover all of our costs. The constant generosity of our patrons is important because it allows for us to continue to provide our services to the community each month and ensure the sustainability of our National Historic Landmark.

We ask that you please think about all the events that you have attended at Gallery5, the experiences that you have had, and the important people in your life that shared with you those experiences. Ask yourself how import you think Gallery5 is to the community and what Richmond, Jackson Ward and our creative community would be like without us. Does your donation reflect that?
